Dear Coach,
For many of us, the first day of practice can't get here soon enough!

Many of the so-called "coaching gurus" would have you believe that if you use their system, you too will be standing in the hall of fame as the winning-est coach of all time!
Instead, what you get from these so-called self-proclaimed "GURUS" is a bunch of mumbo-jumbo:
"Humbly, this one secret strategy can beat ANY youth team in existence. Seriously, this may sound like I'm bragging or hype...but it's the [sic]real. It's not me...it was the system."
Ok, we're going to let the cat of of the bag and expose all those "self-proclaimed", "self-ordained", and "full-of-shame" coaching "GURUS" out there...SO WE CAN MOVE ON...
Here's the unpopular truth that the gurus aren't willing to talk about:

- Players are a limited resource. Typically, the more you have to draw from, the greater chances of success. Having a team of 30 players vs. a team of 15 players and your chances of success are potentially greater.
- Practice is also a limited resource and generally, you have a limited number of hours to prepare before the season starts. (Perhaps your league's policy determines when you can begin practice; how long you can practice; how many times you can practice, especially when schools begins etc...)
The bottom line is that with players and practice time, you are limited on how much you can manage these resources to increase efficency, productivity, and creativity and thus produce winning results.
This only leaves one area where you can effectively manage the outcome of your team's success.
